Domestic Violence Facts: Don’t belive the feminists!
The “men bad, women good” mantra fed to us by domestic violence prevention advocates, women’s shelter organizations and other well meaning “women’s rights” organizers, feminist groups, and politicians are just plain wrong. They are relying on incorrect data.
- by Mike Truman
The domestic violence claims, mostly by feminist groups, is turning out to be a fraud based upon faulty data, closed minds, blacklisting and retaliation very similar to the global warming hoax.
After seeing the disturbing ads in the post below from the Family Violence Prevention Fund, I have begun doing some research and have found some alarming data.
It turns out that women are more likely to 1) assault first; 2) use a weapon; 3) to abuse children.
Women are as least as likely to be the perpetrator of violence as they are the victim.
According to FAMILY VIOLENCE A report from: Family Resources & Research
“Abuse shelter advocates have severely distorted the picture and deliberately produce fraudulent statistics and dis-information. Even when they quote well-grounded statistics, they misuse the information. Here is an example: One of the favorite statistics quoted by abuse shelter advocates is that a woman is the victim of spousal violence every 15 seconds. This statistic is deduced from a well conducted piece of research which was published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, a respected professional journal for marriage and family therapists. The Abuse Shelter advocates arrived at this figure by using one of the conclusions of the study, i.e.; 1.8 million women suffer an assault from a husband or boyfriend per year. What abuse shelter advocates always fail to report is another finding of the same study, i.e.; 2 million men are assaulted by a wife or girl friend per year, which translates as, a man is the victim of spousal violence every 14 seconds.”
.
Towing the “party line”:
“The typical response of the abuse shelter workers upon first hearing the results of the scientific studies is to “shoot the messenger”. You can almost hear their minds snap closed. There is an almost cult like “party line” among victim advocates. Much of the belief system of their “cult” has no more scientific or rational basis than that of fanatical religious cults.”
According to the report’s author:
“Men are responsible for most of the violence which occurs outside the home. However, when 54% of women in lesbian relationships acknowledge violence in their current relationship, vs. only 11% of heterosexual couples reporting violence, I realized that domestic violence is not an outgrowth of male biology.”
Experts who have attempted to speak out and set the record straight have been threatened with violence, blacklisted and more.
“Criticisms have ranged from personally attacking the researchers, to more academic efforts directed at attacking the work itself by denying the validity of the reports, to an outright defense of the violent behavior of women or otherwise minimizing its significance.”
According to a detailed report in the Florida State University Law Review entitled DISABUSING THE DEFINITION OF DOMESTIC ABUSE: HOW WOMEN BATTER MEN AND THE ROLE OF THE FEMINIST STATE by: Linda Kelly states:
Over the last twenty-five years, leading sociologists have repeatedly found that men and women commit violence at similar rates.
And this startling conclusion:
“… the literature consistently suggests that only men commit domestic violence. Either explicitly, or more often implicitly, through the failure to address the subject in any objective manner, female violence is denied, defended and minimized.
I assert in Part III that today’s refusal to react is a product of the feminist control over the issue of domestic violence. Female violence presents both a threat to feminist theory as well as to the practice of domestic violence law. Notwithstanding such concerns, today’s myopic understanding of domestic violence has serious implications.”
We have to be always on guard against accepting the popular wisdom, no matter the source, I’m am even skeptical of the reports I site.
Drawing on my own professional experience in this area, I was always suspicious of claims that domestic violence was mostly men bad women victim, when what I saw in the field was mostly the opposite.
Do your own research, don’t take my word for it, let me know what you find.

I did, you have a great site, lots of resources, thanks!
Excellent article. You’ve gota couple studies I want to look up. I was a social worker for over 20 years. Almost all of the child abuse cases I handled were mothers abusing their children or allowing their boyfriends to commit the abuse.
I once had a case where everyone kept insisting the father was extremely violent and dangerous. He was, in fact, very beligerent and liked to break things. He had even been arrested for DV against his wife. In over 10 years it was the only time he ever hit her and he did this with a knife sticking out of his side where she had stabbed him. It was the second time she had stabbed him and in neither instance was she arrested. Even she admitted that she was the violent one, but everyone saw her as his victim anyway.

These facts are completely fabricated. 86% of domestic violence is directed by MEN at WOMEN, you utter fool.
Read a book.
@TDOM
do you think that might be as a result of the amount of single mothers versus single fathers? the amount of mothers who are the main carer for their child because society pressures men to have careers and lives and women to be home-makers? obviously, child abuse is an absolutely despicable crime, but if an equal number of men were the main/sole guardian for their child, the statistics would undoubtedly be leaning the other way.
that’s common fucking sense.

can I just point out, that feminism, by definition, is the idea that women should be equal to men. it’s not the idea that women suffer the vast majority of domestic abuse, rapes, harassment, or that the majority of poverty in the developing world is suffered by women (those legitimate facts- i.e. not ones you’ve made up and stuck on a website, no the commonly accepted, statistically proven multiple times facts- just prove that men have it easier in almost every sphere of activity)
feminism = believing women should be equal to men, regardless of how equal you believe they are currently.
therefore, anyone who dismisses feminism is a sexist, anti-equality pig.
OR they’re just plain ignorant because they don’t know the simple definition of feminism, and buy into shit like this.
which would you prefer to be?
